ECOS TECHNOLOGY

Access to ECOS Technology

ECOS is a mineral technology system for the development and local production of construction materials based on qualified regional raw materials and the partner’s existing production infrastructure.

4Bricks s.r.o. provides the ECOS technology, raw-material qualification, adaptation, development of a specific application configuration, engineering support for implementation and technology control. Cooperation can be structured through technology licensing or, in selected projects, through a technology partnership model.

Discuss a cooperation model

Two Cooperation Models

4Bricks scales ECOS through partners with existing production infrastructure. The commercial model is defined individually for each project, taking into account the territory, production site, raw materials, application configuration and cooperation structure.

TECHNOLOGY LICENSING
The right to use ECOS within agreed parameters — for a defined territory, production site and specific application configuration.
TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP
In selected projects, 4Bricks may participate as a technology partner, including an equity stake of up to 34% in an agreed project structure.

An equity stake of up to 34% is neither mandatory nor automatic. The specific structure is determined individually for each project. ECOS intellectual property and protected know-how remain under the control of 4Bricks.

The ECOS System

ECOS is a managed mineral technology system for the development and local production of construction materials. It combines a technology core, qualification of local raw materials, functional adaptation, development of application configurations, engineering documentation and performance verification.

What ECOS technology is

ECOS is not a single formulation and not a universal ready-made product. It is an engineering system that makes it possible to adapt the technology to specific raw materials, equipment, a production site and an area of use.

4Bricks s.r.o. develops, protects, commercially manages and implements ECOS within a controlled technological and contractual architecture.

The system includes:

  • the protected ECOS technology core
  • qualification of local mineral raw materials
  • functional technology adaptation
  • development of specific application configurations
  • testing and performance verification
  • engineering and technology documentation

Technology Licensing

Under the licensing model, the partner receives an agreed right to use ECOS industrially for a defined territory, production site and application configuration.

  • the right to use the technology within agreed limits
  • raw-material qualification and technical adaptation
  • engineering support for implementation
  • support for validation and regulatory preparation
  • technology control of agreed parameters

Licensing does not transfer ownership of ECOS, intellectual property or confidential engineering know-how.

Technology Partnership

For selected projects, 4Bricks may use a deeper technology partnership model instead of a classic licence.

  • joint development of an industrial project
  • technology contribution by 4Bricks
  • local infrastructure and market of the partner
  • long-term engineering support
  • possible 4Bricks participation in the project company of up to 34%

Equity participation is neither mandatory nor automatic and is determined individually for each project.

Commercial model and cooperation structure

The commercial structure of ECOS is defined individually. It depends on the application configuration, territory, production site, local raw materials, validation stage, scope of engineering support and the selected cooperation model.

What the industrial partner receives

  • access to the ECOS mineral technology system
  • reduced need to develop the technology from scratch internally
  • qualification of local raw materials
  • development and adaptation of an application configuration
  • engineering support for implementation
  • a structured path from technical qualification to industrial launch
  • technical documentation applicable to the specific project

Typical project path

  • NDA and initial project assessment
  • qualification of raw materials, site and equipment
  • laboratory adaptation
  • development of the application configuration
  • testing and performance verification
  • definition of the commercial and contractual model
  • pilot industrial verification
  • local industrial launch
  • ongoing technology support

ECOS Intellectual Property

The ECOS technology core, engineering methods, controlled parameters, documentation and know-how form a managed system of intellectual property and technological knowledge of 4Bricks.

Technology control

4Bricks retains control over the ECOS technology core, confidential engineering know-how and the rights associated with commercial use and licensing of the technology.

Granting a partner rights to use ECOS does not transfer ownership of the technology.

Partner rights

Specific usage rights are defined by contract and may be limited by territory, production site, application configuration, area of use, term and other agreed parameters.

This principle applies both to the licensing model and to technology partnership.

Know-how protection

Key process parameters, engineering models, adaptation methods and other critical ECOS elements may constitute confidential know-how and are provided only to the extent required for the agreed project.

Access to such information is governed by NDA and the relevant contractual documents.

Examples of ECOS application configurations

ECOS makes it possible to develop different application configurations from a common technology core. Each configuration is adapted and validated separately, taking into account raw materials, equipment, area of use and required performance.

Masonry and plaster systems

  • masonry mortars
  • plaster mixes
  • other mineral compositions for related applications
Status and readiness are determined separately for each application configuration after the relevant adaptation and validation.

Formed mineral elements

  • pressed mineral elements
  • masonry elements
  • other formed products after separate engineering qualification
Project direction: separate development, testing and industrial verification are required.

Specialised configurations

  • thermal-insulation mineral systems
  • specialised process mixes
  • regional configurations for local raw materials and market requirements
R&D / project direction — technical status is determined separately for each project.

ECOS Cooperation Formats

Cooperation with 4Bricks can be structured through technology licensing or, for selected projects, through a technology partnership model. The specific scope of rights, territory, production site, application configuration, engineering support, participation structure and commercial terms are defined individually in the contractual documentation.

Application Configuration

Verified Performance

Each application configuration is developed and verified separately, taking into account local raw materials, equipment, production conditions, intended application and required performance.

Testing, Validation and Regulatory Status

Application configurations for mortar and plaster systems

Each specific configuration is subject to separate technical and regulatory assessment according to its intended use, declared performance and the applicable requirements of the relevant jurisdiction.

  • qualification of local raw materials and production conditions
  • laboratory adaptation of the specific configuration
  • testing of required performance characteristics
  • identification of applicable standards and conformity procedures
  • preparation of technical documentation following the relevant validation

Formed mineral elements

Formed mineral elements are treated as a separate application-configuration direction and require independent engineering development, testing and regulatory qualification.

  • required performance is determined by the intended use of the product
  • the regulatory framework is identified for the specific configuration
  • the need and route for CE marking are determined following regulatory assessment
  • industrial readiness is verified separately for the specific production site
Core principle: test results and regulatory status apply only to the specific application configuration and do not automatically extend to the entire ECOS technology system or to other configurations.

TDS, SDS, test reports, declarations and other documentation are provided depending on the specific application configuration, project stage and procedures actually completed.

Controlled access to technical documentation

Confidential formulations, process ranges, adaptation methods and internal procedures are not publicly disclosed. Access is defined by the NDA, licence or technology partnership framework.

Each ECOS application configuration undergoes a separate technical, testing and, where applicable, regulatory assessment according to its intended use, declared performance and the requirements of the relevant jurisdiction. CE marking, CPR, REACH, CLP and other applicable requirements are determined individually for each configuration.

  • 🔹 Testing and validation status is determined separately for each application configuration
  • 🔹 Testing organisations and laboratories are selected according to the specific task and required procedure
  • 🔹 The regulatory framework is determined by the intended use, performance and category of the specific configuration
  • 🔹 Applicability of CPR, CLP, REACH and other regulatory requirements is assessed on a project-by-project basis
  • 🔹 Environmental indicators and carbon profile are confirmed only on the basis of relevant calculations, tests or LCA
  • 🔹 The need and format of CE marking are determined following regulatory assessment

Technical and regulatory documentation may include TDS, SDS, test reports, declarations, conformity documents and, where applicable, LCA/EPD materials. The specific documentation package depends on the application configuration, project stage and procedures actually completed.
