ECOS Technology Platform

ECOS is an engineering system for the development and industrial production of mineral-based construction materials, combining composition technology, production regulations, and a regulatory framework aligned with European Union construction standards.

What is ECOS Technology

ECOS integrates engineering methods for developing mineral compositions, industrial production regulations, and a regulatory framework for adapting products to construction standards.

4Bricks s.r.o. is the owner of ECOS technology and is responsible for its development, intellectual property protection, and licensing of its industrial application.

The platform includes:

  • methodology for designing mineral compositions
  • industrial production technological regulations
  • engineering parameters for material application
  • regulatory framework aligned with EU standards
  • technical documentation and laboratory testing packages

Licensing Model

ECOS technology is distributed under a controlled technology licensing model.

4Bricks provides partners with the right to industrially apply the technology provided that technological regulations and regulatory requirements are observed.

  • right to industrial use of the technology
  • engineering support for implementation
  • regulatory adaptation of products
  • control of technological parameters

The license does not provide for the transfer of ownership of the technology, disclosure of key formulations and know-how, or transfer of intellectual property to the licensee.

Who the ECOS License Is For

The ECOS license is designed for companies planning industrial production of construction materials and interested in using an engineering-based mineral technology.

  • building materials manufacturers
  • construction companies
  • development companies
  • regional industrial partners
  • investors launching production projects

Production under ECOS Licence

The ECOS licence grants industrial partners the right to organise production of mineral construction materials on the basis of the technology platform. The specific status of each product direction, readiness stage and implementation format are defined separately within the licence agreement.

Dry Construction Mixes

  • masonry mortars
  • plastering mixes
  • specialised mineral compositions
Status: validation / testing / preparation for implementation — defined by product version

Mineral Construction Materials

  • hyper-pressed construction elements
  • masonry blocks
  • structural mineral materials
Status: engineering development / testing / production preparation — defined by product

Specialised Construction Compositions

  • thermal insulation mineral materials
  • technological composite mixes
  • adapted regional construction compounds
Status: project direction / R&D — developed for specific project

Economic Model & Cooperation

Using an ECOS licence allows industrial partners to operate on the basis of the ECOS engineering technology platform without developing the corresponding technological solutions from scratch. The specific scope of transferred modules, documentation, support and readiness is determined by the product category, territory, production site and validation stage.

Licence Economic Model

  • ECOS engineering technology platform
  • reduced need for in-house R&D development
  • access to regulatory infrastructure and technical documentation
  • engineering support for technology implementation
  • ability to launch production without independent technology development
  • specific financial parameters are defined by the licence agreement

Licence Cooperation Structure

  • initial request for licence information
  • preliminary discussion of the project, region and product category
  • conclusion of the licence agreement
  • transfer of technological and regulatory documentation
  • technology implementation and launch of industrial production

ECOS Intellectual Property

The ECOS technology platform is an engineering development of 4Bricks s.r.o. and constitutes intellectual property used within the licensing model of industrial technology application.

Ownership Rights

The rights to use, commercially manage, license and industrially implement the ECOS technology platform are governed by the system of rights, know-how, licence agreements and contractual documentation of 4Bricks s.r.o.

The licensee receives only the right to use the technology within agreed limits. Transfer of ownership of the technology, know-how or controlled technological components is not carried out.

Licensed Use

Use of ECOS technology is possible exclusively within a licence agreement. The licence grants the right to industrial application of the technology but does not provide for the transfer of ownership or intellectual property rights to the licensee.

Know-How Protection

Key technological parameters, formulations, engineering models and critical production parameters are classified as confidential engineering know-how and are protected by the terms of the licence agreement and non-disclosure agreements (NDA).

ECOS License Formats

Licensing of the ECOS platform may be provided on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis in various formats depending on the scale of the project, production infrastructure, and regional implementation model. Specific licensing parameters are defined in the licensing agreement and may combine several cooperation formats.

Regional License

Provides the right to use ECOS technology within a defined territory. The licensee gains the ability to establish production and develop the construction materials market within the agreed jurisdiction.

Production License

Allows the organization of local industrial production of construction materials using the ECOS technology platform in compliance with engineering regulations and regulatory requirements.

OEM License

Allows partners to manufacture construction materials using ECOS technology at their existing production facilities and supply products under the licensee’s own brand.

Certification and Regulatory Status

ECOS Dry Mix

The product is undergoing national certification in the Czech Republic in accordance with Government Regulation No. 163/2002 Sb. as a general construction material.

  • Category: dry construction mixture
  • Regulatory framework: 163/2002 Sb.
  • ČSN EN 998-1 / EN 998-2 — applicable standards for masonry and plastering mortars
  • Status: official laboratory testing in progress
